The Tora Challenge

Set in the heart of one of NZ’s best loved private walks, the Tora Coastal Walk, it’s a wonderful opportunity to come and see a unique part of New Zealand, and challenge yourself at the same time.

Walk or run your way through stunning private farmland, native bush and along the spectacular Tora coastline. With three course distances and varied terrain, there’s something to suit all ages and abilities.

All participants start at the stunning Stony Bay Lodge, located on the Tora Coast, Wairarapa

Course options:  6km walk/run, 18km walk/run, 32km run

Numbers:  Limited to 650 entries

3 Course options

Coastal Cruiser: 6km family-friendly run or walk along the remote and unique slice of the Tora Coast

Reef to Ridge - This 18km run or walk follows the Tora Coastline for 6km, before ascending into lush native flora and private farmland, then along a panoramic ridge, providing constant sea views, before descending back to your start point.

Big Kahuna – this 32km run covers the entire Tora Coastal Walk course; 6km of the Tora Coast, 12km to Whakapata Cottage, then the gruntiest section of the day – 14kms of hill climbs and descents, with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean as your reward
