Tora Coastal Walk

The World Tourism Organisation defines sustainable tourism as “tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social, and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment, and host communities.”

We are playing our part in sustainable tourism by doing what we can to contribute to the restoration, protection, and enhancement of the natural environment around us.

Some of the things we do might seem small, like asking you to bring your sleeping bag to cut down on washing, to our big projects, such as our planting programme, which is now in its 25th year and has seen hundreds of hectares converted into lush green forestry.

We recognise that every industry has impacts, but we have an ongoing commitment to becoming as sustainable as possible, and in doing so, to protect and enhance the physical and social environment around us for future generations.
